Animals were immunized with adaptor protein. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with the alpha chain of the AP-2 protein of all mammalian species tested. It is useful for immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation assays, but tends to give spurious bands in Western blots. |
