1
Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country. |
Applications |
The antibody reacts with an acidic glycoprotein present on immature and proliferating human hematopoietic cells but not present on circulating peripheral blood cells. The glycoprotein is present on HeLa cells and other tumor cell lines of non-hematopoietic origin, but is not expressed on those normal human tissues tested (including brain, kidney, liver). |
Disclosure |
This material is cited in a US or other Patent and may not be used to
infringe the claims. Depending on the wishes of the Depositor, ATCC may be
required to inform the Patent Depositor of the party to which the material was
furnished. This material may not have been produced or characterized by ATCC. |
Derivation |
Spleen cells were fused with S194/5.XXO.BU.1 myeloma cells (see ATCC TIB-20 and ATCC CRL-8837). |
Genes Expressed |
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against a glycoprotein present on human hematopoietic cells |
Cellular Products |

Comments |
Animals were immunized with K-562 cells (see ATCC CCL-243). Spleen cells were fused with S194/5.XXO.BU.1 myeloma cells (see ATCC TIB-20 and ATCC CRL-8837). The glycoprotein is a dimer of two 110000 dalton monomers joined by disulfide bonds. |
