adult |
Strain |
|
Applications |
The antibody reacts with a viral protein associated with the replication BTV. It can be used in immunofluorescence assays to identify the U.S. serotypes of BTV, and differentiate between BTV and the closely related virus, epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus (EHDV). |
Storage Conditions |
liquid nitrogen vapor phase |
Disclosure |
This material is cited in a US or other Patent and may not be used to
infringe the claims. Depending on the wishes of the Depositor, ATCC may be
required to inform the Patent Depositor of the party to which the material was
furnished. This material may not have been produced or characterized by ATCC. |
Derivation |
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. |

Yes |
Effects |
Yes, forms ascites in pristane primed BALB/c mice |
Comments |
Animals were immunized with serotype 10 BTV. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with a viral protein associated with the replication BTV. It can be used in immunofluorescence assays to identify the U.S. serotypes of BTV, and differentiate between BTV and the closely related virus, epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus (EHDV). The immunofluorescence pattern is characterized as abundant discrete granules and large and small spherical inclusions in the cytoplasm of infected cells. |
