Strain: BALB/c (B cell); BALB/c (myeloma) |
Applications |
Animals were immunized with yeast-derived human interleukin-15 (IL-15). The antibody reacts with IL-15, an epithelium derived T cell growth factor. |
Disclosure |
This material is cited in a US or other Patent and may not be used to
infringe the claims. Depending on the wishes of the Depositor, ATCC may be
required to inform the Patent Depositor of the party to which the material was
furnished. This material may not have been produced or characterized by ATCC. |
Derivation |
Animals were immunized with yeast-derived human interleukin-15 (IL-15). Spleen cells were fused with AGX653 mouse myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with IL-15, an epithelium derived T cell growth factor. |
Genes Expressed |
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against interleukin 15 (IL-15) |
Cellular Products |
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against interleukin 15 (IL-15) |
Comments |
Animals were immunized with yeast-derived human interleukin-15 (IL-15). Spleen cells were fused with AGX653 mouse myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with IL-15, an epithelium derived T cell growth factor. Monoclonal antibodies generated can be assayed for IL-15 antagonist activity using the CTLL-2 assay as essentially described by Gillis, et al. |
Complete Growth Medium |
The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
|
Subculturing |
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml. Maintain cell density between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml. |
