Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country. |
Applications |
The antibody is specific for one of the two major epitopes on S. mansoni paramyosin that predominate in the in vivo immune response to the parasite. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
Derivation |
Animals were immunized with a partially purified S. mansoni antigen preparation plus BCG. Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells. |
Genes Expressed |
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against paramyosin from Schistosoma mansoni |
Cellular Products |

Comments |
Animals were immunized with a partially purified S. mansoni antigen preparation plus BCG. Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells. The antibody is specific for one of the two major epitopes on S. mansoni paramyosin that predominate in the in vivo immune response to the parasite. The epitope recognized is distinct from that recognized by MBL-Sm-1A6 (ATCC HB-194). Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
Complete Growth Medium |
Culture Medium: Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium with 4.5 g/L glucose, 90%; fetal bovine serum, 10%. |
