Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country. |
Disease |
Lymphoma |
Applications |
Animals were immunized with 38C-13 cells (a B cell lymphoma cell line derived from a C3H/eb mouse). The antibody is specific for a 90000 dalton lymphocyte surface receptor for high endothelial venule determinants in peripheral lymph nodes. The antibody binds to a to a determinant present in a peptide containing the 13 C terminal residues of ubiquitin. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
Derivation |
Animals were immunized with 38C-13 cells (a B cell lymphoma cell line derived from a C3H/eb mouse). Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells. |
Genes Expressed |
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against lymphocyte surface receptor for endothelium (murine equivalent to human L-selectin, CD62L, Leu-8) |

Comments |
Animals were immunized with 38C-13 cells (a B cell lymphoma cell line derived from a C3H/eb mouse). Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells. The antibody is specific for a 90000 dalton lymphocyte surface receptor for high endothelial venule determinants in peripheral lymph nodes. This receptor appears to be required for lymphocyte homing into lymph nodes in vivo. The antibody binds to a to a determinant present in a peptide containing the 13 C terminal residues of ubiquitin. It does not bind to native ubiquitin or to ubiquitinated proteins. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
Complete Growth Medium |
The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
|
Subculturing |
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10 exp5 cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml. |
Cryopreservation |
Freeze medium: complete growth medium, 95%; DMSO, 5% |
