Animals were immunized with purified LHC-II. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts specifically with the 28000 dalton polypeptide of the chloroplast thylakoid. This antibody and that of MLH1 (see ATCC CRL-1766) may be useful in studies of the LHC-II gene family (Cab) and in studying the photoregulation of the Cab genes in chloroplast development. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
