Complete Growth Medium |
The base medium for this cell line is RPMI-1640 Medium (ATCC 30-2001).To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS; ATCC 30-2020) to a final concentration of 5%. |
Subculturing |
Cultures can be maintained by addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively the cells may be collected by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension in fresh medium. The cells are slow to grow and the clusters will get larger over time. Some clusters can lightly adhere to the flask. These cells cannot be counted accurately, if the cell clusters are dispersed into single cells, they will lose viability.
Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days. |
