Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.
Applications
The antibody reacts with lower affinity than PAb 101 (ATCC TIB-117) and precipitates large T antigen and NVT antigen (when complexed) but not small t antigen or the SV-40 small t antigen.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Derivation
Spleen cells were fused with NS-1 mouse myeloma cells.
Genes Expressed
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against large T antigen (SV40)
Cellular Products
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against large T antigen (SV40)
Comments
Animals were immunized with SVT-40, an SV40 transformed BALB/c cell line.
Spleen cells were fused with NS-1 mouse myeloma cells.
The antibody recognizes a denaturation sensitive determinant unique to large T (tumor) antigen.
The antibody reacts with lower affinity than PAb 101 (ATCC TIB-117) and precipitates large T antigen and NVT antigen (when complexed) but not small t antigen or the SV-40 small t antigen.
The antibody does not bind to denatured large T or mouse NVT in radioimmunoassays.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Complete Growth Medium
The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 20%.
Subculturing
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 x 105 cells/mL and maintain between 1 x 105 and 1 x 106 cells/mL.
Culture Conditions
Temperature: 37°C
Isotype
IgG1
Name of Depositor
EG Gurney
Deposited As
mouse (B cell); mouse (myeloma)
