Strain:? Armenian (B cell); BALB/c (myeloma) |
Applications |
The antibody reacts with mouse CD28 receptors. The antibody is specific for a 90 kDa protein homodimer. It reacts with all mature T cells and can both activate and inhibit T cell function. It is a supplemental deposit of ATCC HB-11944. HB-11944 is viable but does not produce antibody. Note: This cell line is viable and does secrete antibody at low levels. |
Disclosure |
This material is cited in a US or other Patent and may not be used to
infringe the claims. Depending on the wishes of the Depositor, ATCC may be
required to inform the Patent Depositor of the party to which the material was
furnished. This material may not have been produced or characterized by ATCC. |
Derivation |
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 myeloma cells. |
Genes Expressed |
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against mouse receptor for CD28 |
Cellular Products |
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against mouse receptor for CD28 |
Comments |
Animals were immunized with EL4 cells. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with mouse CD28 receptors. The antibody is specific for a 90 kDa protein homodimer. It reacts with all mature T cells and can both activate and inhibit T cell function. Note: This cell line is viable and does secrete antibody at low levels. Complete Growth Medium |
The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2005. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
|
Subculturing |
Medium Renewal: Add medium as pH drops Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml. Maintain cell density between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml. Do not allow cell concentration to exceed 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml. |
Cryopreservation |
Complete growth medium supplemented with 5% (v/v) DMSO. |
