1
Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country. |
Applications |
The antibody reacts with an intracellular antigen expressed in the endocrine thymic epithelium. TE4+ cells strongly express class I and class II histocompatibility antigens, and are positive for thymosin alpha-1 and keratin. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
Derivation |
Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8 myeloma cells. |
Genes Expressed |
immunoglobulin; monoclonal antibody; against human thymus (thymic endocrine epithelium) |
Cellular Products |

Comments |
Animals were immunized with human thymic stroma.
Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8 myeloma cells.
The antibody reacts with an intracellular antigen expressed in the endocrine thymic epithelium.
It defines the mesodermal portion of the thymic microenvironment that may participate in conferring MHC restriction to maturing T lymphocytes.
TE4+ cells strongly express class I and class II histocompatibility antigens, and are positive for thymosin alpha-1 and keratin.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
