Effects |
Yes, forms ascites in BALB/c mice |
Comments |
Animals were immunized with recombinant human thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) receptor expressed in. E. coli. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 mouse myeloma cells. The antibody recognizes the N-terminal extracellular domain (amino acids domain 19-246), alpha subunit of the human thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) receptor (hormone binding unit). The TSHR-T5-51 (ATCC CRL-2680), TSHR-R5T-44 (ATCC CRL-2681) and TSHR-T5U-317 (ATCC CRL-2682) antibodies are additive. They recognize different epitopes. TSHR-T5U-317 cross reacts with the rodent TSHR. The antibodies do not interfere with hormone binding and have no effect on the receptor mediated adenylate cyclase activity. The antibodies can be used in Western Blot, ELISA, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry assays of the human TSH receptor. |
Complete Growth Medium |
Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium with 4 mM L-glutamine adjusted to contain 1.5 g/L sodium bicarbonate and 4.5 g/L glucose, 80%; heat-inactivated horse serum, 20%
|
Subculturing |
Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 to 2 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml. Maintain cell density between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml. Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density) |
Cryopreservation |
Freeze medium: Complete growth medium 95%; DMSO, 5% Storage temperature: liquid nitrogen vapor phase |
Culture Conditions |
Temperature: 37.0°C |
Isotype |
IgG1 kappa |
