Morphology On PDA medium at 25°C after 16 days, mycelium cinnamon to reddish brown, velutionous, produces a pale brown exudate. Reverse dark purplish brown. Hyphae both hyaline with dark red oil droplets and solid dark red, verrucose to encrusted. Cleistothecia globose to subglobose, pale brown, 64.5-85 X 62.5-67.5 μm. Ascospores hyaline, subglobose to ovoid, smooth, single and in clusters of 4-6, 6-7 X 4-5.5 μm.
