Colonies dull, whitish, with yellowish cream reverse; aerial mycelium velutinous; surface smooth or somewhat warty, sometimes with radial grooves. Hyphae with clamp connections in dikaryotic hyphae; pseudoclamps in monokaryotic hyphae. Chlamydospores absent or present in variable abundance, subglobose to somewhat irregular in shape, 13.0-20.0 x 10.0-14.0 μm, rather thick-walled, hyaline or with ochraceous contents. Colonies of yeast phase butyrous or rather dry, flat, shiny or dull, yellowish cream to pale ochraceous; surface smooth, transversely wrinkled, pustulate, venose to reticulate. Yeast cells ellipsoidal, allantoid, fusiform, subglobose or cylindrical, 10-45(-150) x 3.0-10.0(-20.0) μm, thin-walled, but becoming thick-walled with age, scars rather distinct, conidia sessile or on short denticles. |
