A chloramphenicol resistant host, expressing tnpR resolvase and the cI lambda repressor, for use in the Tn1721-derived site-specific recombination systems and excision of plasmids from the vector lambdaRESII (ATCC 77404).
Contains two copies of the tnpR gene, one under control of the tac promoter for increased inducible expression.
The order of the major features in the transposon is: inverted repeats - EcoRI - tnpR - tac promoter - EcoRI - BamHI - cI - PstI - cmlR - HindIII - res resolution site - tnpR - tnpA - EcoRI - inverted repeats.
