Comments
Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--3.1, 2.1, 0.68; SalI--5.8; HindIII--5.8; PstI--4.6, 1.35; BglII--5.8.
The insert includes 2498 bp followed by 92 adenylates. The insert is located downstream from a SV40 enhancer, early promoter and 16S and 19S mRNA splice sites, and upstream from SV40 poly(A) signal.
The insert contains a BamHI site. The 2.0 kb BamHI fragment contains all the coding sequences of the mRNA, plus some pcD sequence at the 5' end.
A 2.0 kb BamHI fragment was used to detect the RFLP.
