Morphology
After 3 days at 25°C, colonies are white to cream-colored, semi-shiny to dull, and smooth with wrinkled areas.? The margin is fringed.? Cells are variable in size and shape, occur singly, with buds, and in chains (2.8-4.2)x(7.0-8.4) um to (5.6-7.0)x(14.0-21.0) um.? Spheroidal to ellipsoidal asexual endospores are formed in hyphal strands. After 7 days, pseudohyphae are abundant.? When blastoconidia are present, they are ovoidal to triangular and occur singly, in small clusters and short chains.? Septate hyphae are also present.?
